GLENWOOD -- Stephen Louis Pudlick, 87, of Glenwood died Sunday at Lakeview Good Samaritan Home in Glenwood.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lakeview Good Samaritan Home Chapel in Glenwood. Burial will be at the Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at Lakeview. Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

He was born June 5, 1919, in Minneapolis to Ludwig and Kunegunda (Japeon) Pudlick. He grew up in Minneapolis and attended St. Phillip's Catholic School.

He married Eleanor Sellstdt on Aug. 7, 1940, in Minneapolis. He was employed by the railroad in Minneapolis. He served in the armed forces from 1941 to 1944 and was stationed in Korea and Italy. He returned home and worked for Rock Island Railroad. He also worked at United Defence until he retired at age 69. They moved to Glenwood.

He was a member of VFW Post 3815, Legion Post 187 and the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his children: Constance Woodard of Glenwood, Karen (and Lavern) Floen of Glenwood, Pat Gavin of Glenwood, Mary Sherwood of Bloomington, Ind., Stephen (and Terri) Pudlick of Wyoming, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother: Eugene Pudlick.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one grandson, five brothers and three sisters.
