They'll try again today in Brainerd.

The violent rain storm that came out of the west and plowed a wide swath also rained out the Northwoods games in Duluth and Brainerd last night.

The Stingers are 15-12 placing them a little over midway up the North Division ladder. The MoonDogs from Mankato are on the top rung at 19-9 after whipping the Thunder Bay Border Cats 12-6 on Friday.

Twelve Stinger pitchers have at least one decision and a 13th has a save.

Tanner Banks is 3-0 with a 2.05 ERA and Ricky Knapp is also 3-0 with a 3.15 ERA.

Banks has a team-high 30 strikeouts in 30Xc innings pitched, also the most on the team.

Closer Jason West has a 1.42 ERA in 12Xc innings while appearing in 11 games. Anthony Consiglio (11.0 innings) and John Haberman (9Zc innings) have yet to give up an earned run.

Friday night's rainout has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on July 11.
