Stingers promote McCallum, Kremin
The Stingers promoted staff members Nick McCallum and Abby Kremin for the 2013 season. McCallum, formerly the assistant general manager, will take the role of the team’s first general manager. Kremin, a former Stingers’ intern, was promoted to assistant general manager.
McCallum has been with the organization since its inaugural 2010 season and began his NWL career in 2009 with the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers. He has a master’s degree in sports manage ment from St. Cloud State.
Kremin is a Raymond native and MACCRAY alum, and has a degree in public relations and advertising from North Dakota State.

Eagles ranked again
Florida Gulf Coast (Michael Suchy, Sean Dwyer, Ricky Knapp) made its way back into the Baseball America Top 25, coming in at No. 25. Dwyer, who was an NWL All-Star in 2011, is hitting .355 with a .447 on-base percentage and a .532 slugging percentage. He has two home runs and 13 RBIs. Knapp, another 2011 All-Star, has turned into the Eagles’ ace early on, going 4-0 with an 0.87 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 16 innings. FGCU pitching coach Forrest Martin told Baseball America that Knapp “understands how to get hitters out. He may throw his fastball at 85-86 and then at 90-92 in the same batter. He just has an innate feel for throwing off the hitter’s timing.”
