Central Arkansas, which has provided the Stingers with Forrestt Allday (2012) and Bryan Wilson (2010) in the past, will be sending two more players to Willmar in Logan Moon and Jonathan Davis.

Davis, a junior out of Camden, Ark., has been one of the Bearcats’ strongest hitters this year, starting in center field and batting third. He is hitting .293 with a .449 on-base percentage and has 2 home runs and 4 triples to go with his team-leading 18 stolen bases on the season.

A junior outfielder, Moon has struggled in limited playing time this season, but hit .323 in 124 at bats as a sophomore in 2012.

Junior first baseman Marc Flores joins the Stingers from the University of Hawaii. Flores played two seasons of junior college ball at Hartnell (Salinas, Calif.) College before transferring to the Rainbow Warriors. He is hitting .235 in his first year of Division I ball.

The Stingers also added to their pitching staff with MSU-Mankato redshirt freshman Josh Matheson. Matheson, who hails from Circle Pines, Minn., has had a strong year out of the bullpen for the Mavericks with a 2.76 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 16.1 innings.

He joins St. Cloud State’s Karl Sorensen as the only Minnesota natives on the Stingers’ roster.
