Stingers open on the road Tuesday night

WILLMAR — The Willmar Stingers open their fifth season in the Northwoods League and their first with new manager Drew Saberhagen at 6:35 p.m. today against the Duluth Huskies in Duluth.

The Stingers have two games at Duluth before coming back to Willmar for the home opener on Thursday.

They go right back on the road Friday and will not have an extended homestand until June 3.

Pacific freshman Will Lydon will start tonight for the Stingers.

San Francisco’s Sheldon Lee will take the ball Wednesday, and Florida Gulf Coast’s Brady Anderson will start the home opener.
