WILLMAR -- The Willmar Stringers climbed out of a 4-0 hole, scoring at least one run in each of the last four innings and went on to defeat the Thunder Bay Border Cats 6-4 in the Northwoods League season opener Wednesday night at Bill Taunton Stadium.

The opener drew 1,187 fans.
