Stingers win three of four over Eau Claire

WILLMAR — The Willmar Stingers played eight games in four days — and won five of them.

They capped their string of doubleheaders with a split against Eau Claire, dropping Game 1 8-7 and winning the nightcap 7-3 on Sunday at Bill Taunton Stadium.

Casey Hughston led the way in Game 2, smacking a third-inning grand slam, and Nick Rivera also went deep, a solo shot, for his team-leading 10th homer of the season.
