FARGO, N.D. -- A huge snowstorm brewing in the West may take a whack at the southern Red River Valley later this week.

It's too early to say how much snow and wind the valley might receive, but it's possible Fargo and parts of west central Minnesota could be hit with something, said Vince Godon, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, N.D.
