The winter storm has moved out of the region. Snow has been diminishing this afternoon as the low-pressure system moves east out of the area, the National Weather Service in Chanhassen said.

A few light snow showers are possible this evening in western and central Minnesota, but no additional accumulation is expected.

Northwest winds may cause some blowing and drifting in open areas, but significant problems are not expected.
