Supermarket roof collapses after storm in central Minnesota

UPSALA, Minn. (AP) -- Residents of Upsala are having to travel to do their grocery shopping after snow collapsed the roof of a local supermarket.

The roof of Paul and Kathy's Supermarket caved Monday after a weekend snowstorm. The owners were forced to close their doors for at least three weeks to repair damage.

Owner Kathy Koetter tells KSAX-TV the roof was clear of snow before the storm, but the snowfall was all it took to collapse the roof.

Products inside the store may end up going to a bargain store or a food shelf.

Upsala resident Craig Kiley says having the store closed will make it inconvenient for a lot of people in the central Minnesota town.
