Just before midnight, the Swift County Sheriff's Dispatch received a call from someone who reported gun shots being fired in Swift Falls and a vehicle driving recklessly.

A second caller to the dispatch center reported that a rural homeowner had been attacked by a group of persons in a car and that his home had been shot at.

Deputy sheriffs and the Minnesota State Patrol responded, and Benson Police officers monitored traffic from Swift Falls. Benson Police stopped the suspect vehicle as it came into Benson, leading to the arrest of three men and the seizure of two firearms.

One of the suspects, age 39, is from rural Benson. The second suspect, 45, has no permanent address but is living in Benson, the Sheriff's Office said. The third suspect is a 19-year-old, also with no permanent address and living in Benson.

The incident continues under investigation by the Swift County Sheriff's Office
