Served on Agriculture and Rural Development Policy and Finance Committee, Capital Investment Committee, Jobs and Economic Development Finance Committee, Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee.

Civic experience: Member of Sertoma; past president of Habitat for Humanity; volunteer for post-Hurricane Katrina cleanup; active in church congregation.
