Swift County investigating Saturday crash involving semi, minivan

BENSON — Investigators from the Swift County Sheriff’s Office and the State Patrol are investigating a two-vehicle crash reported around 10 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of County Road 6 and 30th Avenue Southeast.

Because the crash is under investigation, the names of those involved are not being released to the media.

The driver of the semi involved in the crash was not injured, but the five people in the minivan all sustained injuries. The driver was airlifted from the scene to St. Cloud Hospital with critical injuries and the passengers were taken to Swift County-Benson Hospital. One of the passengers was flown to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale and another was taken by ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital.
