The update to the county's burning restrictions was made at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, upon the guidance of the state Department of Natural Resources regional forestry division.

Until 7 p.m., burning is restricted.

Permit holders must call 320-843-3133, 289-2356 or 264-5972 before burning.

The National Weather Service forecast indicates that a possibility of precipitation may bring about an improvement in burning conditions sometime on Friday, but at this time, burning restrictions will continue to be managed on a day-to-day basis.
