Swimming: Marshall too much for Willmar, 98-80
WILLMAR -- The Marshall Tigers overwhelmed the Willmar Cardinals on Tuesday night 98-80 in a dual meet matching up section rivals.
Finally back at full strength after bouts with illness, Willmar nevertheless couldn't stay with the True Team section winners.
The Cardinals won the opening 200 medley relay with Alissa Tinklenberg, Aleasha Blokzyl, Anna Fuglestad and Amy Brandt, but the Tigers took the next eight events before shutting down with a 98-42 lead.
Willmar had Tinklenberg win the 100 backstroke, Valor Gorans win the 100 breaststroke and Liz Gorans, Ashley Alvarado, Emily Zondervan and Tinklenberg pair to win the 400 freestyle relay.
