Swimming: Willmar downs Sauk Rapids to finish 6-2 in CLC
SAUK RAPIDS -- The dual-meet portion of the Central Lakes Conference schedule is over. Willmar splashed its way past Sauk Rapids 99-87 on Thursday to finish 6-2 in the CLC.
That puts Willmar in a second-place tie with Alexandria and Sartell. Brainerd finished 8-0 and will be the favorite to also win the conference meet at Willmar next week.
Willmar winners were Kyle Schmidt in the 200 freestyle, Robert Brau and the 200 individual medley and Andy Johnson in the 500 freestyle, plus two relays.
