Teen arrested in Meeker County Transfer station burglary
LITCHFIELD -- A 17-year-old male suspect is under arrest in connection with a burglary at the Meeker County Transfer Station in Forest City Township.
According to a news release from Sheriff Jeff Norlin, his department was called around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. The front office window had been broken and cash was missing. Evidence collected at the scene led to the suspect. A search warrant was executed around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday along the 100 block of East Fourth Street in Litchfield, where officers found more evidence and money related to the burglary.
The suspect was arrested Wednesday afternoon and is awaiting charges by the county attorney's office. Additional charges are pending against a second suspect who was an accomplice.
