Third robbery in one month reported in Alexandria, Minn.
ALEXANDRIA, Minn. A robbery was reported at Tio's Mexican Grill here Monday night, the third robbery in the city in a month.
A store employee reported to police that a masked, black male showed up at the restaurant about 10 p.m., just about closing time.
The suspect told the employee that he wanted money and then grabbed a money bag and fled the scene on foot, according to police.
The suspect is described as black, about 6 feet tall with a medium build and in his early 20s.
He was wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt. He was also wearing a ski mask with three holes in it to partially hide his face.
There were no injuries reported and - unlike two previous robberies reported at Papa Murphy's last month - no weapons were displayed.
The other robberies occurred Feb. 17 and 25 as Papa Murphy's was closing for the day.
The suspect in both those incidents was described as a white male in his late teens to early 20s who was wearing a mask similar to the one used in the movie, Scream. The suspect flashed a handgun and fled the scene on foot.
