But when Ryan Hebrink followed with a single, left fielder Luke Kramer pegged to catcher Andy Dollerschell, who tagged out Kleinhuizen sliding head first.
In the Islanders' half of the third, walks to pitcher Greg Helin and Kramer was followed by a Brad Gass single to load the bases.
With two outs, a routine outfield fly was dropped in left and two runs scored. When Gass tried to score on a throw that got by Saints' catcher Johnson, he was tagged out by pitcher Phil Erickson covering.
Erickson got the win, allowing two hits over five innings, and Dan Kluver finished the game, giving up two runs on one hit. He struck out three and walked three.
