LITCHFIELD -- Three men were arrested Sunday night in Wright County in connection with two burglaries that occurred earlier in the day on a rural Litchfield property.

Kurt Edward Kujawa, 41, of Andover, Scott Jon Buelow, 42, and Michael James Constantine, 39, both of St. Paul, were arrested in Wright County for the incident. All three men were held on charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools, according to a news release from the Meeker County Sheriff's office.

The three men are suspected with the theft of more than 70 different items valued around $4,000.

According to the release, the Meeker County Sheriff's Office received the burglary report around 9:30 p.m. along the 24300 block of State Highway 22. Meeker County Sheriff Mike Hirman said two burglaries occurred on the same property.

The property, owned by Keith Blad, contains two residential buildings and a business operated by another individual, Hirman said.

Blad was returning to his property from a weekend trip when he met a vehicle leaving his property. Upon speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, Blad recognized one of the occupants as a former employee who had also lived in the second home on his property.

Blad's former employee allegedly stated he was in the process of moving out and was picking up his personal belongings. Blad noticed numerous items missing after the two men had left in the vehicle.

After Blad reported the burglary, Hirman said the sheriff's office put an "attempt to locate" with the description of the vehicle. A short time later, authorities in Wright County had stopped one of the vehicles and soon after the Minnesota State Patrol located the other.

"It doesn't happen that way a lot," Hirman said Monday. "Timing is everything sometimes."

Many of the items missing from the property were recovered from the two suspect vehicles. Hirman said Kujawa, Buelow and Constantine allegedly took items such as: air-impact tools, kid's battery-operated four wheelers, a night vision scope, portable generator and many other items.

Charges for the burglary in Meeker County against the three men are still pending.

Two of the three men are wanted in other counties. Buelow is wanted in Washington County for identity theft and domestic assault. Constantine is wanted in Washington and Ramsey counties for driving offenses.

Kujawa was also in possession of methamphetamine at the time of arrest.

The case remains under investigation by the Meeker County Sheriff's Office.
