ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa -- As of Monday afternoon, two teens from Rock Rapids, Iowa were still missing, according to Lyon County Sheriff Blythe Bloemendaal. A Sioux Falls, S.D. teen has also been reported missing, and all three were last seen in Sioux Falls together.
All are considered runaways and were last seen early Saturday morning in a beige 2005 Hyundai Elantra with Iowa license plate 849XIO.
"The last spot we could trace their cell phone was in Sioux Falls," Bloemendaal stated. "They are probably still there."
The teens, Bloemendaal said, took $7,000 from one of their relatives sometime Saturday morning, according to a report.
A news release from Bloemendaal's office dated Monday states Emaly Englert and Justin Sheehan are both from Rock Rapids and both are 16 years old. Englert is a Caucasian female, approximately 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds. She has long brown hair with highlights and hazel eyes. Sheehan is approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. He had brown hair and brown eyes.
The Sioux Falls teen, Breanna Miller, is 15 years old and lives in Sioux Falls.
One report states Sheehan's father lives in Sioux Falls, and the man confronted the three teens Friday night, suspecting they had been drinking. The teens allegedly took off, stopping back to drop off a younger girl, then leaving again.
Bloemendaal said the teenagers have been entered into a nationwide data base as missing. If anyone has seen the teens, they are asked to contact the Lyon County Sheriff's Office at (712) 472-8300. If they return or are found, Bloemendaal said he would issue another news release if he was notified.
"Often (runaways) come back and the parents don't tell us," he stated.
