Thunder Bay shuts down Stingers

WILLMAR — Thunder Bay starter Yuji Suzuki scattered 10 hits and two runs in a complete game performance to beat the Willmar Stingers 8-2 on Friday at Bill Taunton Stadium.

The Stingers fell to 15-10 and lead second-place Mankato by half a game in the Northwoods League North Division second half. They hit the road Saturday for a 6:05 p.m. game at La Crosse.
