Thunderstorm warning issued for parts of Swift, Lac qui Parle and Chippewa counties until 4:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for southeastern Swift , north central Lac qui Parle, and northern Chippewa County in west central Minnesota until 4:45 p.m.

At 3:50 p.m., radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing large damaging hail up to golf ball size and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.

This storm was located 3 miles south of Milan or about 13 miles east of Madison and moving east at 35 mph.

Locations in the warning include Benson, Milan, Holloway, Big Bend City, Danvers, De Graff, Kerkhoven, and Murdock.

A tornado watch remains in effect until midnight Saturday morning for southern minnesota and west central Wisconsin.
