Todd Bergeth withdraws from Willmar City Council special election race

WILLMAR — Todd Bergeth, sports director at Lakeland Broadcasting in Willmar, withdrew his candidacy Tuesday in the Feb. 12 special election to fill the two-year unexpired term of Fourth Ward Willmar City Council member Doug Reese.

Bergeth’s withdrawal leaves Jay Lawton, inventory logistics coordinator at Jennie-O Turkey Store, and Audrey Nelsen, certified preplanning consultant with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home, as candidates.
