Tornado destroys two homes in rural Willmar

WILLMAR -- A tornado struck the Willmar area Friday evening.

At least two rural homes were destroyed south of Willmar.

Two turkey barns in the Priam area were destroyed, and two workers from the turkey barns were taken by ambulance.

Law enforcement members had blocked roads in the area. Some roads remained closed as of 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Authorities cleared people away from the area due to gas leaks.
