A tornado warning has been issued for parts of Chippewa, Lac qui Parle, Chippewa and Renville counties until 4:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for parts of west central Minnesota until 4:30 p.m. today.

The tornado warning area includes southeastern Lac qui Parle County, Chippewa Count, north central Yellow Medicine County and northwestern Renville County.

At 3:32 p.m., radar indicated a storm capable of producing a tornado.

The most dangerous part of the storm was 4 miles east of Dawson or about 7 miles northwest of Boyd. The storm was moving east at 35 mph.

Locations included in the warning area include: Montevideo, Granite Falls, Clarkfield, Watson, Minnesota Falls, Maynard, Gluek, Sacred Heart, Clara City and Asbury.
