COLLEGEVILLE -- Alanna Dietz of New London-Spicer shattered the Tribune record in the girls' 100 hurdles with a time of 15.15 and also qualified for state in three other events from the Section 5A meet Wednesday at St. John's University.
Dietz was first in the 100 hurdles and was a member of the 4x400 relay team along with Lydia Kieft, Codie Bennetts and Haley Stahl. Dietz was second in the 300 hurdles and the triple jump.
New London-Spicer's Brandon Zylstra qualified for state in three events, winning the boys' triple and high jumps, while finishing third and qualifying by standard in the long jump.
Shelbie Walsh of Litchfield won the girls' pole vault. Chase Austvold of New London-Spicer finished first in the boys' 800 run and Andrew Barnes of Litchfield was the winner in the boys' shot put.
Litchfield's 4x400 boys relay team consisting of Pat Zimmer, Erik Knutson, Billy Magana and Jon Terning was also first.
Stahl was second in the long jump and Anna Johnson of Litchfield was second in the girls' pole vault.
The top two individuals and top relay team qualify for state, as well as anyone who meets the standard.
The state track and field meet will be held June 10-11 at Hamline University in St. Paul.
