Track and Field: Willmar at Detroit Lakes today

After leaving its longtime home in Section 2AA to the south, Willmar travels north to Detroit Lakes for the finals of the Section 8AA Track and Field Meet.

Field events start at 9:30 a.m. and the first race (the girls 4x800 relay) at 10. Preliminaries, some field-event finals and the 3,200 open run were held Wednesday at Sauk Rapids.

The top two individuals and first-place relays, plus those meeting the state standard, will advance to the Class AA state meet June 8-9 at Hamline University.
