Track and Field: Willmar's Erickson gains state in discus

ST. PETER -- Willmar senior Mary Erickson threw the discus a personal-best 120-4 to finish second and qualify for next week's state meet.

She was the only Cardinal to advance to state after the two-day Section 2AA track and field meet which concluded Friday at Gustavus Adolphus College.

C.J. Seifert finished third in the boys 1,600 run as the top three runners all finished in 4:26-plus.

Miranda Roelofs was third in the 300 hurdles in 47.07 and Shelby Schneider also third in the 400 dash in 1:00.1. The boys 4x800 took second.
