Forty-four-year-old Jeffrey Silvernail of Wahpeton is to stand trial beginning Sept. 12, 2011. The trial is expected to last three weeks.

Silvernail is charged with second-degree intentional murder in the death of 49-year-old Lori Roberts, who was found dead in her apartment Oct. 2, 2009. She had been shot twice. Silvernail was arrested last spring and remains in custody.

Authorities say Silvernail was Roberts' live-in boyfriend until shortly before her death and was in the process of moving out of her home the week Roberts was killed.
