Tribune launches interactive Halloween Costume Photo Contest

The West Central Tribune announces a new interactive photo contest called Halloween Costume Photo Contest, which launched today on Wctrib.com.

Readers will be able to submit photos of halloween costumes, past or present, to compete for the honor of being the top halloween costume photos on Wctrib.com. Readers may enter as many photos as they wish.

The entry deadline is 500 photo submissions or 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 07, 2009, which ever comes first.

During the contest's photo submission period, readers can rate any photo they wish to. Readers must register in order to rate and comment on submitted photos.

Readers may comment on any photo at any time during the contest. Readers can also send photo links to family or friends via e-mail and/or social networks.

The major sponsor for the halloween photo contest is En-tel Communications of Willmar and the co-sponsors are Film Drop of Willmar and Queen Bee's Bar & Grill of Paynesville.

Wctrib.com readers can view all the photos submitted and approved by the contest judges at: wctrib.com/pages/contests

Readers will be able to vote for their favorite photo in the various rounds of the contest. Reader and judge voting will begin at 11:00 a.m., Nov. 09, 2009. Readers must register in order to vote on photos.

All approved entries during the submission period will be divided approximately between rounds 1-4. The top photos will be selected via a ranking of reader and judges vote totals.

The top-ranked photos in rounds 1-4 will advance to the Top 40 round.

The top-ranked photos in the Top 40 round will advance to Top 10 round.

The prize-winning photos will be selected at the end of the Top 10 round.

All photos and comments will be published in the Halloween Costume Photo Contest site on wctrib.com for public viewing after being reviewed and approved by contest judges.

The submitters will of the top three photos at the conclusion of the Top 10 round will win prizes. See the Top 10 round on the winners page for a prize listing.
