MIAMI (AP) — A rare power surge from a pair of veterans lifted the Miami Marlins to their latest victory.

Placido Polanco homered for the first time in more than a year and Jeff Mathis hit his first since last August, helping the Marlins overcome a three-run deficit in a 5-3 win over the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday.
