Two airlifted after rollover crash south of Benson

BENSON -- Two people were airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center, and two others were treated at Swift County-Benson Hospital, for injuries sustained in a one-vehicle rollover crash Sunday evening near Benson.

According to Swift County Sheriff Scott Mattison, dispatch received a report around 10:50 p.m. of a rollover crash on County Road 10 south of Benson and about four miles west of Highway 29.

A 2005 Dodge pickup driven by Jon Fahl, 22, of Benson, was traveling eastbound on County Road 10 and lost control, left the roadway and rolled several times. Passengers were Dwayne Peterson, 21 of Benson; Travis Collins, 20 of Benson, and Anna Jensen, 18 of DeGraff.

All victims were transported by ambulance to Swift County-Benson Hospital. Peterson and Collins sustained life-threatening injuries and were airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center. Fahl and Jensen were treated for multiple injuries and released.

The crash is under investigation by the sheriff's office.

Also responding were the Benson police, fire, rescue and ambulance and the Danvers First Responders.
