Two arrested for drugs at rural Dassel, Minn., address
LITCHFIELD -- Two men were arrested on felony drug possession charges after a traffic stop by a Meeker County deputy just before midnight Tuesday.
According to a news release from Meeker County Sheriff Jeff Norlin, the deputy stopped a 1994 Ford Tempo for expired registration at a home along the 23000 block of 700th Avenue in rural Dassel. The vehicle and its occupants had no affiliation to the residence or the people living there.
The driver, Michael Allen Truelove, 43, of Bayport, was arrested for a felony drug possession warrant and driving without a valid driver's license. His son, Michael Truelove Jr., 22, of Litchfield, was arrested for felony fifth-degree drug possession and small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle. A third passenger, a 24-year-old female of Litchfield, was released with no charges.
