Two to hospital after crash north of Grove City, Minn.

GROVE CITY — Two people were taken by ambulance to Meeker Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash this morning north of Grove City.

According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, emergency responders were called around 9:25 a.m. to the intersection of State Highway 4 and County Road 16.

A 2004 Ford minivan driven eastbound on County Road 16 by James Whitcomb, 44, of Paynesville, collided with a northbound 1996 Chevy pickup driven by Rob Pederson, 52, of Litchfield.

Nicole Christianson, 23, of Minneapolis, and Brenda Pederson, 51, Lori Christianson, 50, and Stephanie Pederson, 22, all of Litchfield, were passengers of the pickup driven by Rob Pederson.

Rob Pederson and Stephanie Pederson were transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to Meeker Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol. Also responding were sheriff’s deputies, Grove City Fire Department, Grove City Rescue, and Gold Cross Ambulance.
