Two hospitalized after crash near Silver Lake

SILVER LAKE -- A Cokato teen and a Montevideo man are hospitalized at Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash around 9:45 p.m. Monday along State Highway 7 west of Silver Lake.

According to the State Patrol, Samantha J. Van De Steeg, 16, of Cokato, and Caleb O. Cochrane, 24, of Montevideo, sustained non-life threatening injuries. Both were drivers of the vehicles involved in a sideswipe-type crash.

A passenger in Cochrane's vehicle, Linda A. Cochrane, 62, of Montevideo, was treated and released at Hutchinson Hospital.

Also responding where the Silver Lake fire, police and ambulance, along with the McLeod County Sheriff's office.
