Unconditional bail was set at $100,000 for both Brenda Sue Acrie, 52, and Samantha Sue Roberts, 31. Conditional bail was allowed for both at $7,500. Their next appearance in court is May 10.

According to the complaint, a CEE-VI agent received information in January that the women could sell Lortab, a prescription medication, for $5 a tablet. He gave his contact information to the women. On March 10 received a call from Acrie, who offered to sell him 100 pills. The agent asked if she had 100 more.

They arranged to meet in a parking lot along East Highway 12, where the agent received 200 pills for a total cost of $1,000. The purchase was made with previously recorded funds from the task force and was observed by other officers on surveillance. Analysis by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension showed the 200 tablets had a total weight of 128 grams. The active ingredients in Lortab are hydrocodone and acetaminophen.
