Two men to Hutch hospital after snowmobile crash

COSMOS -- Two men were taken to Hutchinson Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a snowmobile crash around noon Monday near Cosmos.

According to the Meeker County Sheriff's office, dispatch received a call around 11:59 a.m. Monday regarding a multiple snowmobile accident with injuries about ¼ mile east of the intersection of State Highway 7 and County Road 1.

Responding deputies determined that Robert Mick, 39, of Waconia, was traveling eastbound on a 2004 Polaris 600 Tourin on the Luce Line Trail when he was struck by Myron Reinke, 75, of Cosmos, who was driving a 2001 Artic Cat Z570 southbound from Highway 7 entering the Luce Line Trail from the north. Upon colliding, both parties involved were ejected from their machines, needing medical attention.

Both were transported to Hutchinson Hospital. This crash is under investigation by the sheriff's office.
