Two men in jail, held for Tuesday home burglary in Willmar

WILLMAR — Two men are in the Kandiyohi County Jail on charges of second-degree burglary, theft and criminal damage to property for allegedly burglarizing a southwest Willmar home Tuesday afternoon.

According to a news release from Willmar Police Sgt. Michael Anderson, officers were called just before 3 p.m. Tuesday to the 400 block of Ninth Street Southwest. The caller reported the suspect and vehicle descriptions and officers located the suspects and the vehicle a short time later in the downtown area.

The men are Farah Awale, 19, and Mohamed Omar, 27, both of Willmar. The stolen property was also recovered.
