Two new faces in Lac qui Parle County offices

MADISON -- Rick Halvorson is the new sheriff for Lac qui Parle County.

Unofficial results from the Minnesota Secretary of State's office showed Halvorson won over Dallas Schellberg by a 2,141 to 1,456 tally with all precincts reporting.

Deron Brehmer won the Commissioner District 2 contest over Randy "Burt'' Letrud by a 392 to 275 vote.

County Attorney Richard Stulz retains his office with a 2,115 to 1,455 vote over challenger John Tollefson.
