Two seriously hurt in crash west of Pennock
PENNOCK — The drivers of two vehicles that collided head-on this morning around 8 a.m. west of Pennock on U.S. Highway 12 were both seriously injured in the crash.
According to the State Patrol, Vickie L. Tompt, 58, of New London, was driving a 2001 Chevy Tahoe eastbound and Andrew J. DeBoer, 30, of Willmar, was driving a 2006 Mitsubishi westbound when DeBoer’s vehicle crossed the centerline and struck Tompt’s vehicle.
Both drivers were taken to Rice Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Road conditions were icy at the time of the crash.
Also responding was the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s office.
