Two small snowfalls expected today in west central Minnesota

Two waves of snowfall can be expected through tonight across west central Minnesota, according to the National Weather Service.The first will move through this morning before noon, while the second is expected to move through after midnight tonight.Up to an inch of snow can be expected between the two systems.There is potential for a strong storm system to impact the region Thursday and Thursday night. There is still much uncertainty regarding the track of this system, which will be the determining factor for the snowfall amount. Some accumulating snow is likely, followed by another dose of Arctic air.
