UMD's April Hansen named All-American

April Hansen, a University of Minnesota, Duluth redshirt freshman from Brooten, was named a Division II All-American honorable mention for volleyball.

Hansen, an outside hitter, also was named all-NSIC and all-Central Region. She was one of four freshmen out of 84 honorees to received All-American honors.

She had 300 kills and 72 ace blocks this season for the Bulldogs (26-9), who advanced to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Division II tournament.
