Underage drinking is focus of town meeting April 23 in Willmar, Minn.

WILLMAR -- "Underage Drinking: It's Not Minor Anymore" is the focus of a town hall meeting at 6:30 p.m. April 23 in the multipurpose room at the Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services Building in Willmar.

The event is hosted by the Kandiyohi County Drug-Free Communities Coalition.

Guest speaker Terry Overlander will share his personal story of losing his daughter who was a passenger in a vehicle with a drunken driver. Information also will be presented about Kandiyohi County's social host ordinance, the prescription drop box service, and the latest on spice, K2, bath salts and other synthetic drugs.

Parents are encouraged to attend the free event with their children and pick up resources to bring home.
