WILLMAR -- The United Way of West Central Minnesota Week of Action will be held from Aug. 22-26 in the area.
Volunteers from throughout the area will be completing service projects that week, with the focus on a different area each day.

United Way is looking for volunteer groups of two to 10 people to participate. The teams of volunteers can be a group of friends or represent a business or organization. The teams are asked to contact the United Way by Aug. 7 to sign up.
United Way is also seeking service projects from local agencies, churches, schools or individuals to be completed during the Week of Action. Service projects can range from yard cleaning, bulk mailings, landscapes, painting, older adult activities, sorting and more.
The deadline for submitting projects is also Aug. 7. Projects will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Volunteer groups will receive their assigned service projects one week prior to the Week of Action. Service projects are asked to provide the materials needed to complete the project.
