Update 11:15 a.m.: Runaway Kandiyohi County girl located in Benson

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department reports that the missing 16-year-old runaway was located about 10:30 a.m. this morning in Benson.

Update 10:15 a.m.: Runaway Kandiyohi County girl seen near Benson


WILLMAR - A young female matching the description of a 16-year-old runaway from Kandiyohi County was reportedly seen Tuesday evening driving an ATV and crossing Highway 12 approximately three miles east of Benson, heading south on a township road.

The Swift County Sheriff's Office has joined the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office in actively searching for the girl.

She was driving a green Suzuki four-wheeler, registration number 395WA.

The runaway was previously seen at about 6 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Kandiyohi County Road 40 and County Road 1 Northwest, headed west on County Road 40 driving the four-wheeler.
