BELGRADE -- The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the bicyclist killed in a crash early this morning on U.S. Highway 71 south of Belgrade.


The man who was killed is Richard C. Vos, 38, of Belgrade. According to the State Patrol, Vos was riding southbound on the highway just before 5 a.m. and was struck by a southbound semi.

Brian L. Anderson, 50, of Belgrade, was driving the 1999 International semi southbound on Highway 71. He was not injured.

The accident occurred just north of the intersection with Kandiyohi County Road 34, which is just south of the Crow River Lutheran Church.

Also responding to the crash was the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.
