Update: Highway 28 closed from Sauk Centre to South Dakota border
Hazardous driving conditions are reported on roads in western Minnesota, including Minnesota Highway 28, which has been closed from Sauk Centre to the South Dakota border.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, travel is not advised because of drifting snow.
Earlier Friday, Highway 28 was closed between state Highway 9 in Morris to state Highway 114 because of drifting snow.
Plows also have been pulled from several western Minnesota counties, including Stevens County.
MnDOT is also reporting hazardous driving conditions on U.S. Highway 59 near Appleton, between state Highway 119 and state Highway 7.
