UPDATE: Highway 7 remains closed to 6 p.m. due to fatal accident
COSMOS -- State Highway 7 at Cosmos will be closed until 6 p.m., according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation's www.511mn.org website.

The highway has been closed since around 7:30 a.m. this morning due to a fatal crash involving two semi trucks and a passenger car.
The highway is closed at 560th Avenue, about 2½ miles east of Cosmos. Traffic continues to be detoured south on Meeker County Road 1, west on Renville County 7, north on Highway 4, back to Highway 7.
