
Update: Hwy. 23 between Raymond and Clara City is now open, semi accident has been cleared
Update 3 p.m.
WILLMAR - Minnesota Highway 23 is now open between Raymond and Clara City following to a jack-kniffed semi-trailer accidentMonday morning that blocked the entire highway.
Law enforcement has completed the clearing of the jack-knifed semi.
Minnesota Department of Transportation snowplows have now opened Highway 23 between Clara City and Raymond. Motorists are urged to slow down and use caution due to blowing and drifting snow.
Much of west central Minnesota remains under a blizzard warning until midnight.
According to the National Weather Service in Chanhassen blizzard conditions have developed across western Minnesota as strong northwest winds of 30-40 mph have pushed into the region ahead of a cold front that will cause temperatures to plummet.
MnDOT will review the status on Highway 23 sometime after 4 p.m.

Law enforcement is working to complete the clearing of the jack-knifed semi.
Minnesota Department of Transportation snowplows will then begin work on clearing Highway 23 between Clara City and Raymond due to blowing and drifting snow.

The road will likely be blocked an hour or more until a large wrecker truck arrives to remove the jack-knifed semi.
Minnesota Department of Transportation snowplow drivers are also reporting signficant drifting along Highway 23 between Raymond and Clara City.
